The Art of Staying In Love

When you think about it, our business can be a lot like a marriage.  We have to work to stay in {LOVE}.  Sometimes we can feel a little less enamored after a stressful Holiday Season and a sluggish January.  February is the perfect time to fall back in love with your business.  Here are some tips to keep the romance alive:

1. Go play in product.  Nothing will rekindle that old feeling like something new for you!    Open a new makeup collection for yourself, order those new earrings, build that vision locket!  The small amount you spend on the inventory will pay off {BIG} in rekindled product passion.

2. Remember why you began.  What did you see in your business when  you first met?  What was the promise that it held for you.  Recapture that energy and enthusiasm by making a list of all the things you love!   Whatever we focus on grows.  Make sure that you are focusing on what you love (not the fact that he chews with his mouth open)!

3. Don’t hang out with negative people.   It is just the same as being happily married and hanging out with someone who is miserable in their marriage (or dislikes your spouse).  After enough time (of her nit picking her husband to death), you will start to be miserable in your marriage  as well.   Don’t let someone make you miserable in your business.  Find positive people who are in love, you’ll be so much happier too!
