Things to leave behind in 2015

The Pursuit of Perfection
It is an exhausting, endless quest wherein, you will always fall short.  Instead, embrace progress. “Perfect” is an ideal that does not exist. Everything is perfectly imperfect.

Comparison
Measure your success by your values and the distance traveled from where you began.  Never compare your life to someone else’s “highlight real”.  You are learning the lessons you are supposed to at the pace you are supposed to.  Your journey and your progress is yours alone.  It has nothing to do with anyone else.  YOU are the only person in THIS race and you are going for a personal best!

People Pleasing
I blog about this so much.  You simply can’t please everyone.  Trying to do so will leave you miserable and absolutely lost. Some people will simply not get your vision, your passions or your journey.  Their opinion is invalid.  They can sit in judgement of how their own lives “should be” and leave you to run yours.  This includes your Mother,Mother-In-Law, Sister etc.

Self Criticism
The single most devastating voice is your own.  Be kind to yourself. Be forgiving and be loving. Become your own best cheerleader in 2016.  Choose your words carefully… every fiber of your being is listening.  Those words determine your results.

Self Doubt
If you don’t believe in you, neither will anyone else.  Pick your path, plant your feet and start walking.  Tune out the naysayers, the critics and everything else in your head BUT the sound of your own spirit screaming “YES I CAN”.

In closing, don’t want a great 2016.  Don’t wish for a great 2016… CREATE a great 2016.  You have the power. Use it!
