Frequency Healing 285

Over the past few years, I have explored a number of meditation practices. One is sound healing. I have worked with several practitioners who used a variety of sounds. Recently I took part in a 30 days series based on the vibrations of Olive trees. These trees are hundreds of years old in an ancient grove in Southern Spain.

Each practice focuses on a different Solfeggio frequency. These are specific frequencies that have been used for thousands of years from the ancient Egyptians to Medieval monks. These ancient tones are believed to have specific, positive effects on the mind body and spirit. The frequencies can be produced by anything that creates a tone (bells, instruments, bowls) and were used in the early Catholic church to teach music. You can find many of the frequencies represented in Gregorian Chants. They are also prevalent in Sanskrit chants. They have been used to “heal” across the world. Modern research into these ancient tones began in the 70’s when they were codified for meditation.

Today’s meditation was frequency 285. Sound therapists maintain that this frequency will help you release negative emotions and things that no longer serve you. Letting go of harmful emotions can recharge and reinvigorate your. I spent a lot of the meditation asking myself what I am holding on to. The ideas seemed to flow. The Instructor had us visualize the roots of ancient and might olive trees absorbing this negativity and cleansing us of it. I have to say I feel “lighter” after that meditation. I am also using the “sound bath” recordings of the olive tree vibrations to fall asleep. I am definitely falling asleep faster and experiencing better quality sleep according to my fit bit.
