Why Saturation Doesn’t Matter

Saturation continues to plague the success of people in Direct Selling.  Other industries do not seem to suffer from it as much.  Small towns and large have more Starbucks and McDonalds than one can imagine.  Look up the number of churches in your area.  You will find an abundance. They are not worried, so why are you?

There is a prevalent belief that it is “impossible” to make big money in a company with 100,000 people. I could tell you my story… after all I did it.  I could tell you that we had 7 Directors in my suburb of Nashville.  I could tell you that I rarely ever ran into other consultants and I rarely (if ever) lost business to a fellow consultant.   I could tell you that with all those other people, I was one of the first in the entire company to earn 2 company cars.  I could tell you about jewelry, awards and travel… but I won’t.  Instead,  will do a little math for you.

Here is a fun math fact.  Everyone who is in your company is NOT working a business.  The research (and the Pareto Principal) tells us that around 80% are hobbyists or even personal consumers.   Furthermore, a healthy activity rate is around 40%.  That means that on any given month, only 40% of people (Hobbyists and workers) place an order.    To be completely fair, we will use that figure of 40% instead of the 20%.

That is a MINIMUM of nearly 8000 potential clients and team members.  Given that the percentage of working consultants is lower than 40%, your pool is much, much larger!  In fact, you can’t handle  “ALL” the potential business you have.  With all the love in my heart I say…lack of potential clients and team members is NOT your problem.  Belief is.  What we choose to believe becomes our reality.  CHOOSE a different reality!

Quit worrying, quit listening to the nay-sayers and the negative Nelly’s.  Get out of negative chat rooms.  Quit thinking about why it won’t work.  Put your blinders on, roll your sleeves up and get to work.  The are a lot of people waiting to hear from you!
